The Prevention Resource Center (PRC) Region 6 is one of eleven centers in Texas funded by the Department of State and Health Services through The Council on Alcohol and Drugs Houston.
Our services include:

- Prevention Training
- Referral to Resources
- Prevention Library and Clearinghouse
- Regional Coordination/Networking
Texas counties served include: Austin, Brazoria, Chambers, Colorado, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris, Liberty, Matagorda, Montgomery, Walker, Waller, and Wharton.
The goal of PRC 6 is to increase the effectiveness and visibility of prevention education materials and resources, within the region through information dissemination, community education, identification of community resources and to coordinate minors and tobacco strategies within the state. Each PRC in the State of Texas serves as a regional prevention materials clearinghouse.
